Urgent Tefillah Request

I rarely share prayer requests on this blog.

Other than a short list of names to keep in mind while lighting shabbes candles, tefillah updates are few and far between, Boruch Hashem. However, today, I want to make an excpetion to this unwritten rule and ask everyone to daven for an extremely special young girl who is in critical condition and needs every tefillah she can get. If you take a few minutes to daven or say tehillim, you could save a seven year old’s life. Her name is Ruchama Malka Breindel bas Sheina Shifra, and it is thanks to our tefillos in previous years, along with Hashem’s kindess and the expertise of her medical team, that she has survived to reach this point. She is really very sick, and the frum world is united in sorrow and compassion for her- and determination to save our life through petitioning Hashem.

I beg you from the bottom of my heart. No matter who you are, if you are reading this now, please stop and say a prayer for this young girl who is dying. Please open your siddur, say a perek of Tehillim, or just speak the words in your heart. And remember her name; Ruchama Malka Breindel bas Sheina Shifra. Let’s join forces and do this. Together, we can save her life. If you feel able to, you could go a step further and take upon yourself a new mitzvah in her honour. Give tzedekah. Light shabbes candles or lay tefillin. Learn Torah. Promise to keep shabbes for the first time. Anything. Whatever mitzvah you choose, know that it has the power to save a life.

Please G-d, may Ruchama Malka see a complete refuah shleimah.

  1. I will remember her and her family in my davening this week. May she and her family have every comfort, be given hope, and be blessed with strength in this difficult time.
