Shabbat Shalom Nitzavim!

The name of this week’s Parsha, Nitzavim, means ‘standing’. Why? Well, I can only guess it’s because we really are standing before G-d in the coming few days. It’s the last Parsha before Rosh Hashanah, which begins the Days of Awe. Of course, G-d is always aware of us, our thoughts, and our actions. But this is a particularly special Shabbos. So why not make it special? Wishing all my readers, followers and friends a happy, healthy and sweet new year. May you see only simchas and brochas!

In London, light Shabbos candles at 6:22 PM tonight. Shabbos ends at 7:27 PM on Saturday. Be sure to get all your Rosh Hashanah preperations finished by 6:17 PM on Sunday, which is when you light candles. On Monday, holiday candles are lit at 7:22 PM, and Rosh Hashanah ends at 7:20 on Tuesday.

Shabbat Shalom and Shanah Tovah!
