“Shabbat Shalom”. The words sound pretty boring, don’t they? You hear them numerous times each week, from people you hardly know… It becomes a lot like “hello” or “goodbye”. But really, it isn’t. We’re one people, us Jews. One big family. And the mitzvah of Ahavas Yisroel is as important on Shabbos as any other day of the week. So when you wish someone Shabbat Shalom this week, say it with meaning. Say it with love. Say it like you’re greeting a beloved family member. Because really, you are.
Shabbat candles should be lit at 6:38 PM tonight in London, and Shabbos ends at 7:43 PM on Saturday. For other locations, please use this page, courtesy of Chabad.org;
Shabbat shalom, everyone!
